Good day Family,Friends and Sisters,
I hope that you all are having a great day. I was scrolling on Instagram the other day and came across a post that had me thinking about my own life and decisions that I have made. It was a video where Oprah was talking to a young lady about divorcing her family until they got some sense. I couldn’t have agreed with that post more! It’s been almost two years and I haven’t spoken to my family, and I have no worries about it. It took some heavy praying the day I decided to not only change my number but to remove myself altogether. Without going into grave detail, I knew that there was favoritism, I knew that the love among all the children was different and I was singled out as the outcast…and the one that would never amount to anything. I knew that change started with me, and I needed to decide whether enough was enough…or continue the cycle of mental and verbal abuse.
It is OK to divorce your family, your friends and anyone that threatens your well being and sanity. It is OK to move on with your life and not look back at those who have damaged your yet to come. The ones who held you back from being happy because you were holding on to people who didn’t love you like you loved them. It’s OK to say “good bye” and be fine with never being a victim of other people’s misery. You have the right to divorce your family, and those you call your family. Take a look at the post below:
I have to agree with @oprah here! I can honestly say “I divorced my family” I did this over a year and a half ago…and to be honest everything in life became peaceful when I said “ENOUGH” …sometimes you have to do it for your own sanity! I am NOT the black sheep…Im the white who’s gotten dirty a few times but never pretended to PURE white. #oprah #god #purposedriven #life #mentor #enough #toughlove #hisgrace #imhappy 🙏😘👩👧👧
